PG 600.2 Balanced Input?

Post by bruther »

Does anyone know if a Phoenix Gold 600.2 will accept differential balanced inputs? That is what they are asking to hook up my factory radio (Bose) to aftermarket amps. I'm thinking of taking the speaker level inputs and putting in a LOC.

No, the 600 is unbalanced input. You can build a simple balanced/unbalanced converter, there are all sorts of plans online for some simple DIY circuits. You can also buy commercial converters, PG had them back in the day, and some of their older processors accepted balanced input, unbalanced out. You would be much further ahead to used the balanced signal, then to use a LOC. The balanced signal will be a much cleaner source then even the best LOC's.
