onyx xenon rare?

Post by BLACKonBLACK98 »

never saw one until just a minute ago and i would definitely like to grab one of the nib x400.1 variety. how likely is this to happen. i had my eye on a couple regular versions but i don't know if i'll be happy without an onyx now.

Not super rare, but yes they are rare. I personally have a Onyx 1200.1, a 200.4, and a 100.4. I love the look of the Onyx, but beyond looks it just a Xenon.

I've only seen pics of the Onyx Xenons, and they look the shizz, for sure.

I've also seen transparent perspex covers, and they look even sexier.

Sadly, though, I haven't been able to source either one of them.

BlackOnBlack, how difficult would it be to get a regular silver one anodized/sprayed and the lettering silkscreened on ? It shouldn't be too difficult to do, and seeing that the heatsink is on the bottom, shouldn't affect performance either.

Hey AVICJR

I have 2 Xenons, a 200.4 and a 600.1 but the problem is, I'm in South Africa. :(

PG may have an Onyx cover for a X600.1 but I'm almost positive there are no more X200.4 covers left.

Thanks Bro.

I've made peace with the fact that I'll prolly never get a black cover on this side of the world.

It's no biggie though, the theme I have going on in the trunk is matt black vinyl with the silvers amps, and chromed EQ230.

I or some one else can help you with shipping if need be, but the X200.4 cover is probably the most difficult to find. Again, PG might still have a X600.1 cover left in stock. Worth a try.

At the current exchange rate, which is R10.20 to one US $, it'll work out to around R510 for me, plus postage/duties (if any).

I paid R1700 (US$ 166) for the amp brand new :D

A thrid of the price for a cover seems a bit steep (for me anyways)

Who can I contact at PG to get an Onyx cover for my 600.1? My case is jacked up, and I was going to paint it if I couldn't get another cover. Do they have the back rubber covers (covers without wire holes) as well? Thanks guys, and sorry to jack your thread a little BoB.

Are the 100.2 and 600.1 the same size, with the same markings?

Chances are the only ones completely sold out are the X200.4 and the X1200.1. The rest of the Xenon line is good chance of them still having. You could the X400.1 cover and Tsonka's X100.2 and have a matching set.

And yes, they should have the rubber grommets as well.

I live near Galveston, but I'm in Houston all the time.
