What's wrong with your Zeropoints then?

RSD 6.5's are amazing, especially considering their cost.

I only have 1 set and the other one is in the 355 and my car needs 2 6.5 :( so for bass/sound quality you would recommend the RSD compared to the Zero Points? how about Ti's? I dont like how they have one cross over but I could probably use my Zero Point cross overs with them couldnt I?

I mean it doesnt even have to be the company Phoenix Gold, I just want as good if not better SQ then the zero points

Im kinda bummed out cuz I LOOOOOVE the sound out of Zero Points but for me to find another 6.5 set is gonna be finding a needle in a hay stack

I wish I knew what the ZP sound like but I took Tom's advice and got rsd65cs components and I love them. But I haven't compared them to the ZP so I wouldn't know how they compare but they aren't shitty ill tell u that. and I think in the phorum someone said ( I believe it was thedeal) that he loved the rsd65cs components better than his Ti 6.5 component set. pretty crazy!

Different speakers use different crossover points and have different characteristics so I wouldn't use a ZeroPoint crossover with the Ti speakers. Use the crossover that was designed for your speakers and it'll sound much better.

Stick to the RSD tweets. They are a scaled down version of the Ti Elite tweeter. Not to mention they will go better with the crossover, which was designed to blend them properly.

The RSD mids are the most surprising... they have stupid amounts of midbass. If you like midbass (and I think everyone does), you will love the RSDs.

For SQ, they are pretty decent. I recently RTAed Fuzzysnuggleducks car and had no problems getting them to play flat down to 60Hz, except for a 5dB drop at 300Hz.

Personally, I still prefer my Ti elites. Their midrange is somewhat less muddy and the tweeter can play a bit lower, so there is less distortion near the crossover frequency (3kHz). However, it takes a sealed enclosure and lots of power to make them play below 100Hz, whereas the RSDs are a much better drop-in speaker. If I had to buy a new set of speakers though, the price of the RSDs would beat out any reason to buy Ti Elites IMO.

Coaxials sound fine, they just lack a crossover so there's more noise in the 3-4kHz region. You can also make a bracket to mount the component tweeter over the cone, or cut the leads and use a passive XO from the component set on the coaxials (though you might as well run comps in that case).

Personally though I never install tweeters in the back. What kind of car is this? If it's a 2 door I wouldn't bother with rear speakers at all... it will only mess up your imaging and staging.

You can definitely get away without rear speakers in that little car. If anything, put in a set of midranges and fade them out completely when there's nobody in the back.

The forum classifieds are good if you can find what you want, but I use eBay for everything else.
