I just got a bnib ms 1000, however I could not find the screws to attach the acrylic on the amp. Does anybody know where to get them or what is the measurement of the screws? I really don't want to scratch the amp with a wrong size screws.
I am sure glad that PG has this wonderful forum, a great companion for such an excellent product.
WELCOME!
You are already owning an amp that many members wish to add to their collection one day......
Try PG if they still have those screws.
Somebody please help out here with the correct E-adress he can use?!
Nico
PG don't run shit around here...........................
This is Stipud's site and we're all PG addicts and junkies..........
Screws are kinda hard to come by these days but you could find some here and there at specialty hardware stores.
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!

Hi FuzzyHoNutz,
Whoops... pardon my english, and sorry Stipud, but did not meant that this great forum belongs to PG, guess what I meant is that; for a PG lovers it is great to have a forum like this... not PG as the manufacturers has this forum...
I wish down here in the tropics I can easily find a speciality hardware stores, I have been looking but they dont have that kind of screws.
Btw spent sometimes on your state before, in ashland... had a great time there...
Cheers,

Alright? Ought to be fantastic. There isnt a weak spot in that setup. Very good choice of components topped off with a beautiful amp. Wish I had the meens to build a stereo like that. Welcome to the forum fellow enthusiast
far as i know PG has no more of those screws... might behoove you to check.. but like fuzzy said... you can find at speciality hardware stores for sure.

Please don't take that the wrong way....... I wasn't trying to be a dick or anything..... This site is the spawn of a couple different sites that are nolonger around. "Cream of the crop" as it can best be discribed imo. We're all fairly knowlegable in the car audio world and I don't think a question has been asked that wasn't answered.......
I think there might be some screws on the bay as a matter of fact but you'd have to search around alittle. Knowing the pitch and thread is probly key.

Hi dBincognito, thank you for your warm welcome
Nope, didnot have the Ultimo... still can't justify myself spending so much for Sub... moreover I have not listened to it since nobody I know is using it.
btw what sub is on your avatar? looked powerful

The Ultimo's sound great....they are high on price though...but you only have to buy 1
My avatar is a RE Audio XXX 12" sub....it recently got sold b/c it was so big
I'm sure someone on here will have the screws you are looking for.
and i think the 4-40's will work.. but might be a shade too small...
I know for a fact that the black basscube cover screws are 4-40, and I just set one next to a plexi screw and it looks a little smaller (the BC screw)
IOW It looks like that the plexi screw is a shade bigger than the black basscube screw which that is (as told by PG) is 4-40.
But they are stainless...
maybe try a 4-40 and whatever is next size up like a 5-50 (if there is such a beast)

Almost all of the screws PG used on their cases are #4-40. Most of the screws in their thinner sheet metal, like the ZX/Ti amps, BC, Xovers, ect... are #4-40, undercut countersunk screws. Undercuts will work in all the places that the normal countersunk screws are, but they have the added benefit of fitting the sheet metal CS and still sit flush.
I have hundreds of the undercut #4-40's in 316SS, and can probably ship you some for damn near nothing
**edit** I have a bunch of non undercut ones too, but they aren't stainless, they are mild steel, zinc plated. You are welcome to either, just PM me.

Jason

Matt, 5-40 is the next size up from #4, but they are very, very, very uncommon. #6-32 is the next common size from #4-40, and #6 is quite a bit larger. #6 IIRC is the size of screw that your outlet cover plates in your house use, so you could pull one out and see if it matches the plexi screw...
