UPDATE: July 10th 2009

I just got my DQS back and after telling me that they put a new board in it and I caught them fibbing to me, I called Erik and talked to him about it. He personally took care of it this time around and I'm happy to report

It's FIXED!!!!!! 8) :D

And at no additional cost.

the repair done was replaced the right channel ground traces. They were burnt.

They came through in the end and I didn't have to go through hoops to get it fixed.

This whole ordeal has me a bit concerned with the design of the ZPA amps. If I remember right you shorted one of the output channels to ground. In my opinion the amp should have its own ground protection, and not rely on the next item up the signal chain to smoke.

But, I don't know the exact details of what had happened, so I suppose the next item up getting smoked can be reasonable.

The next thing in line would've been the Basscube then the DQS.

its funny i had the same experience with jl audio.

i had a 500/1 and the thing just cuts in and out and shuts down.

i sent it to jl and they said they fixed it, put it back in my daughters room and

still doing it...

i called jl and they said they fixed it and toldme to send it back i told them

im throwing the amp in the ocean because i lost all faith in them.

they still wanted me to pay to ship it from hawaii to florida..

its sad because i really liked that amp
You may have subs in your car........but my doors sound better!
