What does the 64% refer to specifically? Exported goods in terms of value? Hasn't China been exporting more goods in terms of raw value than the USA for a few years now?

Please share some insight with me... although this thread is probably the wrong place to do it
Total Goods manufactured worldwide.....US holds a 64% share of worldwide goods manufactured. In terms of export...You are correct we have a trade deficit with China for several years. The trade deficit with china has to do with both goods and services purchased from China ( so that would be our imports) as well as FDI ( foreign direct investment...think China buying our debt) AND...our deprciation in the US dollar ( if 10 years ago we import a dollar of goods from china and today in relative value terms against the Chinese Yuan that good costs us 1.25)....There are several other factors that play a part in this.....but I just got out of class so I would rather not get into economic analysis.

I assume that the 64% are totally wrong.

Europe, China, India and Japan together definitely have a higher output than the USA.

I would love to see PG take a MS2125, ZX450, and maybe a ZPA0.5 and send them to a China based manufacturer to see what it would cost to produce the exact same product there. No, I don't want to see these products again just as they were, but I want to see modern PG products incorporate some of the creativeness of the older ones.

The MS have their easy to display board.
The ZX and ZPA amps have an elaborate and ingenious heatsink design.

China has the ability to produce a better than ZX amp for less money. And it would still be different than 95% of the amps on the market these days.

I personally prefer most Chinese circuit boards on amps. The quality is great. A ZX amp with a Chinese board and aluminum chassis would be way more reliable than the older version, last longer (no rust), and could easily be altered for more modern day cosmetics.

Scour the forums for guys that repair amps.

One guys name is Envisionelec.....he's a whiz that specializes in older PG and Soundstream amps.

Product began shipping to dealers at the beginning of this week. The dealer locator on the Phoenix Gold website should be up shortly.
