93 Dodge Colt base model. Actually a rebadged Mitsubishi Mirage of the same year make and model if that helps. Thanks.

Your ignition lead is Black w/white in the ignition harness. You should be able to fuse it a 5 amps if the solenoid has a surge suppression.

And the ignition harness you are referring to is under the dash right?

Fortunately I already have an unfused wire run from under the dash to the battery. I will disconnect that from the batt., connect it to the ignition wire, and to the relay and should be pretty quick. Makes me :P . I hate running fresh wires through the firewall...pain in my ace! haha

I have to fuse that wire closer to the ignition connection right?

One of these days I want to try out a bandpass enclosure though I know it isn't ideal for sq which is what I try to aim for in my setups.

Yeah I like the car but this past install redo these guys did a lot of things wrong so the glass job is f-ed up in a lot of places which bums me out cuz I wanted to bring it to a lot of local shows but I am kinda embarassed to...makes me sad.

Other than that, I love it too : )...but mine is ridiculously slow. Only has the 1.5L though it is a 5 speed with a performance clutch which I have tons of fun with, and if you have seen the amount of PG equip buried in it, u can imagine it's not a race car...but that's why I just added a 98 VW Golf to my collection...albeit a small collection haha, the VW will have speed when I am done with it...love cars...

Glad to know someone else ever drove a colt with a system : ).

The wire is running right off of your ignition cylinder under the dash.

Cool and the fusing? Is it mandatory nd if it is, cloer to the solenoid or closer to the ignition?

So if that is the right ignition wire, I should not have to worry about any voltage going through that wire when I cut into it to tie in the remote relay wire right?

How do I know if the stinger sr200 solenoid has a surge supression? It wasn't fused the way I had it running off the constant ignition wire in the engine bay last week and it didn't seem to have any probs. What would I be looking for to determine if I need to fuse it for surge supression, the wiring diagram didn't show it needed to be fused either.

If it has surge suppression it will not blow a 5 amp fuse when triggered, if there is no suppression present good luck getting a 40 amp fuse to hold.
