Not sure which amp yer talkin about nutxo, but I think the LE Octane he's talking about looks like the one in my avatar.nutxo wrote:So those white, blinged out swap meet looking amps are close to the ti line?ttocs wrote:the octane series came out just after the limited edition octane amp came out which was the ZXti series amps. They were still solid amps made from the remains of the ti series which were solid.

ok....so a breif timeline:
in the late 90's
there was
TI (high end)
XS (mid)
qx (low)
then tantrum replaced the xs line. very similar internals.
then octane-r replaced the qx line with similar internals.
ti and tantrum were canceled. xenon then came out with ti like features (missing a couple, but surpassed it in other areas) also was at near tantrum prices
then ryval replaced the octane-r with noticeably better internals.
then xenon was canceled and rsd replaced it. they were stripped of a few features, but still quite strong

4 woofers each channel 1 ohmstipud wrote:1 ohm bridged or stereo?phoenixgold79 wrote:i use my TI1000.2 on the 8 16.5cm woofers (at 1 ohm) and it works really good
1 ohm bridged = 0.5 ohm stereo, which is way too low for that amp. It's optimized for 2 ohms, stable at 1 ohm, but 0.5 is way too low, and could easily cause damage.

what kind of woofers do you use?
i use RES FCO180 (modified) RES is an italian factory that can customize theyr speakers so we give them some specifics to set up the woofers
btw they work from 80hz until 160hz
