Just got my two 10" Rsdc's metered!!!
Hey guys,
I been waiting forever to get my system metered. And finally got it done today because I have to drive 1 1/2 hours to do it.
With my two 10" Rsdc's powered by my Jbl gto1201.1ii amp. I hit 146.3db's. I am very happy with the number. So what do you guys think?

I like them very much. I'm the first person to make vids of these in action. Got them when they first came out. Usually people are surprised when I pop the trunk.dBincognito wrote:How do you like them so far ?

They are ported haven't tried them sealed yet. I have multiple enclosures for them. The one I put them in when getting metered was the 40hz enclosure. I usually have my sq enclosure in though.thedeal7235 wrote:i wouldnt doubt with the right tone it easily hits that on mine, espicially since mine are ported, i think juice's are sealed, or are they ported?

Well I'm thinking on getting a new amp, so each sub is receiving 750-800watts rms. They handle the power that I'm giving them with ease.

I do not agree fully here Randy; when you want to get a high Db score, most important thing is playing the exact right frequency at the right spot.dBincognito wrote:XMAX is one way linear excursion.....and pretty much the most important number in hitting dB's that is why I askedBfowler wrote:that number is the one way movement. i am moving one right now with a ruler next to it....definitely more then 14.4mm
Back in the days when I competed, there were no rules, and I won a lot of competitions time after time because I spend a lot of hours finding the right spot to put the mic. and which frequency to use.
Using a simple Db meter, it made a HUGE difference in output measured; people still tend to overlook that IMO.
When rules apply, make sure you build your install centering on those rules, use putty, and tape to attach a Db meter to the spot where the jury will place the mic., and go from there, drawing lines using ropes to get the time alignment right when using multiple woofers.
My 2 cents, from a time when woofers only had a X-max of 8 mm.

[I'm not going into the use of different materials and shapes in the driver's compartment for optimizing SPL., I might find myself "out of fashion" here]....

[one more thing; music is not suitable for SPL competitions; the "right frequency" may not be appearent in that material, plus it will ruin your system when bassnotes hit that are under your tuned frequency, destroying your woofers regardless of the Xmax....]
