Phoenix Gold Phorum

Ive always kinda sneered at memphis. I never really had a reason. After trying out this baby belle I gotta say Im a little impressed. It sounds pretty freakin good and seems to have a lot of headroom.

Anyone have any experience with these amps?

The old one's were good, the newer one's suck....IMO, they are all ugly

Meh. If we couldnt get past aesthetics where would old hifonics, US Amps and a score of others be?

I like the US Amps....I thought they were hot and sexy.....hifonics sounded so good it didn't matter what it looked like really

Lanzar and Soundstream....now those are some FUGLY amps

Not so fantastic looking aside from the technology though. I think I saw one of those for sale on ca maybe?

US Amps isn't on that list...I hope this was not a list of the best sound quality amplifiers...cause it would be way off

It was this thread. No one said the list was complete but a lot of members piped in till it turned into a thing I was just saying that memphis was mentioned as a good brand.

The brands that make good amps today are so small you could probably count them on 1 hand

Luckily the market is flooded with old stuff eh?

and if we are talking about amps made today nobody mentioned Clif Desings....the 4800.1LX they make is a real piece of work....and can be linked together with another 1 to produce massive power....

Not true. The new ones are the same with just new cosmetics.

As a dealer, Memphis was second to none! I had absolutely ZERO defect rate with them. Even their cheep subs could take a beating from dumb ass kids and hang in there. I built several competition cars with them and the 'Belles' are the shit for size vs performance. WAY better company to deal with then any other hands down.

If you want good clean power in a small package without all the hype BS .. I challenge u to find a better amp ... I'm serious!

The 3 year warranty on all the products speaks volumes about their build quality.

Just like any other old school amp, they no longer use the same tolerance parts to build with, therefore...IMO, they suck now
