My Ti 600.2 Rattles...should it NOT be mounted to my Box?

Hey all. I've got my Ti. 600.2 mounted on the rear of my sub box. As I've been listening I've noticed a serious rattle in my jeep at higher volumes...I figured it was loose trim piece in the rear somewhere so I went hunting...turns out its the amp rattling...

Is this bad??? I checked all the case screws and athey're all present and secure, the amp is mounted at all 4 corners to the box and secure... is something loose or should I move the amp?

anyone ever had a similar issue???

i would move it somewhere off of the enclosure. if you have the space, building an amp rack is the way to go. i purposely have mine mounted on an MDF rack behind the enclosure (away from the sub itself) to avoid as much vibration as possible. The Ti amps have a pretty thing casing, so vibration can definitely cause rattling. i read where some people have inserted sound deadening product inside the casing, but there's no way i'd recommend that for many reasons.

When I had my Ti1000.2 I put sound deadening on the back of it before I mounted it to my amprack, it calmed down some of the vibration....

You can add some slats to the back of the box and then add another board/amp rack to the slats. This create some separation from the box itself if you're limited on space.

thanks guys...I'll have to try to move the amp...Not sure what I'll do. My set up is small, (2 Rsdc 10's)...and stealth...hard to explain the box...in fact I havent even posted pics on my install thread yet

I've got a couple of Ideas' that could work...keep suggestions coming...thanks for the help.

mine does it too. it's not even on the box itself. if i press firmly on the top of the amp it stops. guess i could run it without the case for a few minutes to locate the exact spot but it in my trunk so i'm not too concerned. my 400zxti did it too. i tried moving it farther away from the subs but hey i've only got so much space.i would try deadening the outsideon the bottom might work....never on the inside tho

yeah deadening the inside was never a thought...alought I can think of a couple smarty's I've met that would try it :)

I HaVE to fix this cuz its in my jeep so you can TOTALLY hear it when I play it loud.... one stupid rattle makes a nice system sound off.... NOT COOL.

All my TiAL amps have rattled a lot, and I never mount them to a box. I install sound deadening under the cover, and it takes care of it.

At bare minimum isolate the amp from the box with some rubber feet.

This will raise the amp off the box by 3/8" and reduce it a bit.

I've done this with the square ones Radio Shack sells.

I adjusted my setup today...took the amp off the box...I'll post pics as soon as I can... taking the amp off the box fixed the deal... I just screwed it to the back of the seat , but will be building an rack for it so that it will be carpeted to match the box, and making the install prettier.
