Had this feature on a pioneer deck and ended up letting it go with the truck. I am planning for the future horn install. Dont have the waveguides or anything yet but I will in the next two months. Anyway, what kind of options do I have. I know their is a better option than using time alignment and deck crossovers. Im afraid of tiDEQ's because of the horror stories of blown speakers and I dont have an old laptop. I suppose its not clear out of the question but what other options do I have. Or do you think the crossovers and TA on a high end pioneer or kenwood deck would suffice. Unfortunately my x200.4 doesnt have crossovers up to the task. :?

I would think the ones in the head units are fine. The one in my Eclipse works well. Otherwise, you are going to need an outboard processor like a TiDEQ, Audiocontrol DXS or DQT, or whatever else they have, Alpine 700, etc.....

I've had decent results with time alignment built into decks, but I can't say the same for the auto-calibration built into the Pioneers. I recommend taking the time to familiarize yourself with the DSP (regardless of manufacturer) and getting it dialed in yourself.

i'm more than happy with the built-in time correction and x-over features on my alpine.

What are you trying to time align? The TiDEQ was only left/right time alignment. Most of the other items mentioned have the 3way and 4way x-overs and time alignment.

Well being that I dont have all the components yet Ill tell you what Im planning.
-ID x69 or xs8, if they ever release them, on a x200.4 either bridged for headroom or fronts running midbass and rears bridged to idq15

-Idq 15 on the rear of 200.4 or IDmax 15 on x1200.1

-ID waveguides on whatever amp I can find that will suffice. I havent decied. Any of the xenons would be overkill. Maybe a zx or ti 2 channel. I have heard that with horns TA and EQ are vital. So a very extensive eq will probably be needed as well. This is not something I am trying to accomplish soon. But I am ready to start buying things when I go back on the road next week.
