Hi guys, Planning on my 3rd install for the Saab... its nothing special just a 9-3se Turbo 3dr and am pondering what way to go... i thought id list off everything in my current possession and see what systen suggestions some of you veteran guys suggest ?

These are bits i currently have left from other installs: (broken down into accessories, amps, speakers, subs, EQ'S + Crossovers)

Amps:
2 x ms2250ta
1 x ms2250 original with shroud
1 x Ti900.7
1 x XS4600
3 x Diamond Audio D7402's (With Esoteric Boards!) POWERHOUSES!
1 x Diamond Audio D7152

Speakers:

2 x Diamond D971 comp sets.
1 x JL Audio VR650csi
1 x Orion XTR Xtreme 6.5" set (old skool set.)
1 x Pair of Ti9's (still need the Ti6 set for them!)

Subs

2 x D912D4's (Dual 4ohm, 12" , 1200rms
1 x Ti12d Elite
*running low on subs!*

EQ's + Crossovers

3 x EQ232 (2 x Ti \ 1 x White)
1 x TiDEQ
1 x BassCube
1 x TX406 (Black)
1 x TBAT2 (Black)
1 x TiDD10
1 x TiSDT kit (RDDP, Rlink, SDT)
3 x TiRMD's ( 2 x Black 1 x Ti)
1 x LPL44

Accessories:

1 x Zeropoint KF Fuseblock (3 x 0awg to 4 x 4awg)
2 x Zeropoint KF Fuseblock (3 x 0awg to 2 x 0awg!!) *Not seen many of
these!
1 x Zeropoint Ground Block (6 in 2 out)
1 x 200amp circuit breaker
1 x Zeropoint Ground Block (6 x 4awg in 2 0awg out)
1 x ZPXBC (I bet some people havnt seen 1 of these!)
2 x Pairs of Zeropoint Battery Terminals (ZBX205 + ZBX215?)
1 x Zeropoint ZOPTOP
100ft + Custom Zeropoint RCA's (will cut to size)
8 x Misc Zeropoint HDX Compression terminals

Basically this will be my everyday, im a true metal head so i like RAW power with clarity to ring through my music i'd like to find the perfect combo of power -> clarity without degrading the source by using the best components in my inventory and giving me lots of flexibility, my source fot his vehicle will be a car PC running some form of hi-end external card maybe with an external DAC ... i plan on redesigning a lot of the panels so ease of use isnt a concern? My initial thoughts were running all 3 x D7402's but thats a shit load of unnecssary power! :D Im just looking for suggestions really..

my choice wouold be the 900.7

JL splits and 9in midbasses.

Woofer would be a single or the dual 4s the amp will handle both fine.

TIDEQ for processor to get some TA going as well and the lpl on the amp

You could ditch the X-Overs on the amp and slot the A406 in as well as the basscube for that little extra bump.

but as a everyday system I would keep it simple and go deck to EQ to amp
and LPL the woofer.

Can I see a picture of that 6:1 ground distribution block? I need one of those for my setup and every block I see is 4:1!!!

Thanks for your opinion Shaheen... I'll definetely consider it. The problem is i dont think the Ti900.7 has the power to really push the 9" mids (300rms) and VR comps AND a sub rated at 1200rms. I think it would be probably just give up!

SDsport92064 - I'll try and grab it over the next day or two and take a pic of it ... Its the old-skool zeropoint block the ZPD62 or something or other... it looks like the one in this pic

What about the 3 PG amps then

2250 TA's one for midbass, one for JL's

then the Original with Shroud for the woofer.

A406 for X-Over and Basscube for lows.

406 can accpept input for woofer and has LPL

Could slot the DEQ in there for good measure too on the front's.
or the EQ232

On a completely unrelated note - As i have had quite a bit of interest in the sets of D9 comps and am thinking i'll probably only need 1 set! what would be a worthy upgrade from them? these bad boys were continued after 3 months and had a British retail of £1600 so based on retail figures (which is a never a good SQ reference!) Am i then in Morel seperates, BRAX, Rainbow reference, Genesis Absolut and Focal BE territory??

Sounds like you are poised to take my crown of "Best Saab Install" on the forum . I think you should scrap all that gear and put in some Pyramid ;)

Honestly the Ti900.7 is no slouch. I've heard it running a 9-5-1 set with a sub and it sounded fantastic. Honestly I think most people are overpowering their 9's... I think they should get EQUAL power to the comp set, but not greater... otherwise it can become quite bloated. And the "50 watts" out of the 900.7 (more like 75) is plenty for running them IMO... though I tend to have much more of an SQ bias than most.

However, I wasn't thrilled running my Ti Elite 12 on my 900.7. I think that sub really needs 1500+ to sound its best. If you are open to changing your sub, I think you could have a great one-amp solution in your car. An RSDC12D2 would be a beast on that amp.

On the other hand you do have enough 2250's to run everything as well. You could even run your Ti Elite with one of your TA's, if you put it in the shroud (TA's run at 2 ohms like the originals run at 4 ohms). Then use the original MS2250 on your comps, and the other TA on the 9M's.

Thanks for the input Stipud.... What do they say 10% equipment 90% installation or something round about... Im sure your Saab will retain its crown dude...

Do you think there would be any marginal SQ differences between the Diamond amps and the MS2250's? obviously onboard EQ or crossover controls arnt relevant as i have enough eq's and dsp to build a small fort. :D

Sorry I have no experience with Diamond amps, and I can't seem to find much info on your specific ones.

Do you know if they are MOSFET or Darlington/BJT amplifiers? Generally the BJT amps sound better, while MOSFETs are cheaper to make.

I think they sound excellent, toss up on SQ comparison
