hello there,
First sorry for my bad english, I'm from Germany.
I have a Rockford Fosgate Punch 45 25toLife anniversary edition as amp.
Now I read in the web that PG amps are better. As Im an electronic Freak, I know that the a Darlington amp sounds pretty good...
At eBay is a GD MAC200 for sale, but I dont know if its in Darlington configuration.
Can anybody post me which GD amps are in darlington configuration?

if you check the pg manuals and information section and look for manuals just above this post most amp manuals are there and yes the 2240 is triple darlington hope that helps

if I am not mistaken, the mac200 amp you are talking about is more rare then an authentic power 1000....

not the 2240, the mac200, that i cant find in the manuals.
but i have heard now that the mac200 is identical to the ms275. It is the audiophil-version of it.

Hope to get the mac200 on the bay.
Did anybody know how it sounds? My RF sounds powerful and refined. But for my opinion too refined. Any Ideas? :?

It's easily one of PG's best sounding amplifiers. I am sure you will not be disappointed.

I have never been thrilled with Rockford amps for their sound quality. However they do undeniably make a lot of power.

Here's an interesting comparison between an RF amplifier and a PG M25 (little baby version of the MAC200)

Why is it considered the Audiophile version of the Ms275?

It is optimized for 8/4 ohms and not 2/4 ohms

ah!! :)

I'd have thought there can only be a handful of 8ohm comp sets out there? I was under the impression that 8ohm and up loads were more common in home audio application?

I'm not looking for any kind of debate, I will just say I think 8 ohms sounds better than 4 and certainly better than 2.....and if you run 2 four ohm comp sets...you can run 8 ohms

Or just buy individual driver's and not comp sets, like me :D
Then you have far more choices and usually better speakers for less money

yea totally - i hear ya... nah it was more aimed at the fact that i was surprised PG bothered to make an amp aimed at 8ohm....

I would rather have seen them make a MS4125, a real 4 channel with some serious power to be had :D
