I want to put in a rsd250.2 to drive a pair of rsd65cs in the front doors and keep my factory deck on a 09 ford escape. Will the amp hook up no problem to the factory deck?

yes if you get a line level adaptor it will change speaker wires in to RCA.
Im doing the same sorta thing in my 2008 acura tl
replacing the mids/tweeter in the front and adding 2 10" in the rear

you can pick up line level adapotrs on line for $15. Does your amp have speaker level inputs?

im not familiar with the rsd's but look on your amp and see if you see a hi level input. Looks like a multi-din plug in. Usually on the same side as the rca's.

Cheap LOCs are fine for subs, but I wouldn't recommend them on components. Fortunately there are decent ones at a fair price as well. I personally recommend these on a budget:

If you have a good remote signal for your amp already, then all you need is the NE-7V. However, if you don't have a remote output from your headunit, then the N-RHL2 would do this for you. It detects sound going to the speakers and turns your amp on. Personally I would recommend a remote wire if you can, as auto-on circuits can be annoying with low volume tracks.

Yes but at Canadian dealer prices expect to pay heavily out the ass for a decent one.

Do you know if your factory stereo has an external amplifier, or is it an entry-level system with the amplifier in the deck? If you have an external amp, you can usually tap into the signal that goes between it and the headunit, which is cleaner than using an LOC.

Can i just hook up the remote wire from the amp to the fusebox where a turn on fuse will allow 12v when key is turned?

they dont have the color codes on the12volt

the way i typically do it in this situation is to go to a shop and buy a wring harness for your car. then you take out your factory deck and line up the pins to see which factory wire corresponds to the red wire on the harness.

tap into it for your remote, then take your unused wire harness back to the store

Why don't you just use a test light ?
