Hey, My 6.5 Elite mid is blown. I've checked the continuity (none) and ohms (0) and tried the battery test (no sound). The cone is in fine shape, the rubber surround is also good. The terminals going to the coil are still attached solidly, and if I shake the speaker I don't hear anything loose. My warranty is expired. So I guess my question is, where can I find a spare mid for one of these now that they no longer make them?

^woofersetc!

just bought a pair from them.

how old are they?

might be worth swapping both out. the neo magnets can go bad over time

just saw those on woofersetc they are sold individually... The speakers I bought 20 months ago. I really don't want to buy 2... Speakers this expensive shouldn't go bad that quickly, I'd rather buy a new set of different components before replacing both mids because they "go bad"

its all drivers that use neo magnets. the magnet loses it power when it gets over a certain temperature. if they never get hot they will be fine forever...but i know i railed on mine...and they got hot often

I've had my set for over 6 years now with no sign of deterioration.

Then again I live in Calgary

I live in Florida and it's hot pretty much all the time... so I could buy a replacement for 90 bucks, and possible have the other fail sometime... or just buy a new set of components for around 180 hmm...
