rsdc 12 help

Post by todd217 »

well i built a rear facing box for my mustang with 1.3 cuft gross per manual and im running it with a x600.1. from everything i have read is these get pretty loud with good sq but im not impressed with the output at all. it does not seen to have a whole lot of volume or impact. does any one have any ideas. also it a new sub so will the output increase after its broken in?

it will increase a bit....

it should be pretty damn substantial right out of the box

how is the sub wired? (2,4,8 ohm?)

grab a multimeter and see what kind of voltage is coming off the rear terminals

hmm, thats the ideal load for the amp. break out the multimeter

my other thought is a weak input signal. what deck are you using?

its a alpine cda 9884. i have the imprint for it but have not hooked it up yet. the h/u only has 2v outputs and the imprint boost it to 4v.

thats a bit low...but still not low enough to make it not have much output.

the xenon amps will take 13volts...so they like a hot input...

let us know what the multimeter numbers are

on both the signal cables and the speaker outputs on the amp
