Cyclone drives me nuts

Hi to all cyclone users and cleaners. I´ve got a very weird problem with a cyclone. Usally after cleaning and reassembling, the paddles center theirselfes, right after u put the endcap on the clone again and everything is fine. Like u see on the first pic. I have a cyclone that stay´s all the way to the left?!? Like u see on the second pic. I have to turn the cap and the ironcore a little bit and then the paddles a centered. But then i can´t fasten the 4 screws as their a way off their threads. Like u see on the third pic. Any ideas what´s wrong here?

Try flipping the coil around 180 degrees?

Tried it in all 4 possible positions. No change at all.

did that spring thing move when you cleaned it?Weird

The center "tube" that has the vane attached to it, is likely to be moved from it's original position....
That, or you may have swapped a magnet core [or coil] that was aligned for another cyclone.
Since the magnet core and coil determine the center position together, to me it's likely that they were "matched" together in each cyclone.

It looks like normal to me, I've had this problem... Just do all the bolts up as per normal (but make sure the grub screws for the torsion bar are loose). Once all is tightened then center up the vane and do up the lock clamp (the two grub screws) this will then keep it centered.

I do not agree; positioning the vane this way is possible, BUT the vane will move with more risistance one way, and much less resistance the other way.
IMO it's the position of the vane [tube] in accordance to the magnet assembly that's wrong.

Yes you are correct but the magnetic pull from the non energized coil is non relevant compared to the pull of it energized. Remember its pulling against the torsion bar!!! And the strength of the magnets (with the clamps undone) is very very weak when moving the vane by hand. In actual fact I think from memory if he pushes the vane the other way it will flop hard right!!!
