Is there quality difference between the original MS amps and the TA MS amps ?
No, not at all. This is a huge debate spanning years, but really if anything, TA amps are better simply because they are made with newer parts which tend to fail less.
Now, in the case of the MS2250, and the newer MS2250TA, the TA amp actually produces less power at 4 ohms than the older version. This is not lack of quality, but a change in the design. The TA will produce more power at 2ohm mono though, whereas the older MS2250 would probably melt down at 2 ohms mono.
