Car amp to be used as home audio amplifier

I don't know much about electronic, can anyone tell me how to calculate power use for car audio amplifier use as home audio amplifier?
AC is 110V
Watt rms of amplifier is 100 (50x2)
AC to 12VDC convertor

what kind of amp and are you bridging it. with out knowing anything about the amp a would say a 40amp converter would be enough.

look on the amp for the built in fuse. That is the maximum amperage that the fuse amp is rated for and you will need a power supply that will give that much current.

it is MS250. The fuse attach is 30A.

Regardless of what calculations you use, I would just like to say that I personally think a 15 Amp supply would work fine for that amp, unless you are really beating on the amp or driving some major subwoofers with it.
You might even be able to get by with a 10A supply, but the extra 5A would probably be worth it.
The only reason I say this is because I was just testing a MS250 least week and they don't seem to draw a whole lot of current.
