Thanks, I found CD700 before, I know this HU had coaxial digital output, but if not mistaken, this HU got a lot of problem.......so I not going to use this HU.
nakamichi MB 100, yes this is one of my candidate HU.
denon dct-1 if not mistaken it was only the coaxial digital in but not coaxial digital out, am i right?
thanks for your suggestion, I am now finding the HU to complete my "analog SPL" dreamset, so any other HU?

the dct-"z"1 was coax in only but the recent dct-1 has both, this is why i'm also considering it as my next headunit to link up to my zapco da-ii dac..

As I check in the web, Denon DCT-1 seem like is using toslink "optical" digital output, but not the "coaxial" digital output. I will check to confirm.
My original door panel

My 3 way speaker enclosure to become my door panel.

Cutting all the unnecessary part from my door, to fit my 3 way enclosure.

3 way enclosure that make by wood

whoa!!!!! that unit is prolly one heavy $%#*& to close. Fiberglass might have been a better choice. Why would you sacrifice fresh air intake in favor of a door enclosure??? ie not being able to use your window.

once you listen to the sound produce by the wood enclosure, you will never think about the fiberglass

the sound is amazing....

Fiberglass and wood enclosures wont sound different if they are made well enough, just has to be strong enough not to flex.
Interesting buold tho

Wow! I love that door enclosure, and the fact that all of the drivers are on the same plane. Great job.

ya, that's why I create this enclosure. I got some reason to create this enclosure.
First, cause of the staging, I had try several time to get the staging by using the "normal install",
1. tweeter located in pillar, mid bass located in door panel.
2. tweeter located in kick panel (cannot cause this was right hand drive, unable to install the tweeter in this case)
by using the "normal" installation as mention above, found that the low frequency always makes an error, the low frequency unable to produce complete, so what I heard is the sound very "bright and thin sometime will got some noise". Ya this can be solve by using the function deck, with the 31 band EQ. But the digital signal that has been "modified" by the EQ, normally the sound not natural and pure.
Imaging, with the "normal" installation. Found that the imaging was not clear, then this issued will be resolve by using the function deck with time alignment, active crossover, let the HU to cross the frequency and let them can be independently having different time alignment. Ya this will provide the center imaging nicely, but when you listen to the quality of the sound, the sound was not natural.
In order to solve this 2 issued as mention above, for imaging part, I will try to make an angle for my driver, 3 driver was directed to same position, and in same plane, the distance between the driver was not more than the "speaker golden rules", the cubitfeet inside for the driver also try to apply it with "piston efficiency theory". I had try the sound, the driver that I using need certain distance to let the sound "reach" completely. So after install, I got the staging now and also the imaging, but one thing the imaging still not very accurate, I will solve this by applying the preamp, left right independent gain adjustment....
I am new in In Car Entertainment, I like to experiment, prove, try and learn.
I try to apply the fiber for speaker enclosure before, but the sound not as nice as the wood enclosure, mayb I am not skillful, but I am happy and enjoy with the music produce by my speaker enclosure now, thanks.
