Xenon Turn on pop

hey guys, i'm building a new SQ system using PG Xenon Amplifiers,

So far i have the pair of 400.1's in my hand, I'm doing some bench testing to check for noises,

1 of the amplifiers is used and the other is a refurb off ebay.

The used one has no noise issues what so ever, The internal relays are a bit loud, but thats normal i guess.

the problem i have is with the refurb.

From observation, I've gathered that the amplifiers have an internal relay system which mutes/breaks the output section and 2-3secs after the powersupply section is up and running it comes out of the muting stage.

I have a small pop/thump when the relay makes the first click, however it is silent when it comes out of the muting stage.

This is only a problem with the refurb unit, I am guessing it is Probably a faulty relay?

Has anyone had similar problems?

How do you have the signal wires routed? Usually it can be attributed to the amp turning on before a component up the signal line does.

its actually on my bench..

head unit straight to amplifier,

It is only happening to the refurb one though.

after some more observations, i noticed that the good one only clicks once before coming out of the muting stage,

However the refurb clicks twice.

Hmm, that's odd. I know mine clicks twice as well, but I have no pop. Sorry Lance, I do not know.

Its not really a big deal though, these are on sub, So you wont hear it.

I Have 4 200.2's coming for the front stage, I hope to god those are noise free.
