First of all NO i DIDN´T find one! All´s good ttocs!
As more and more of those TA´s are showing up, i´m just wondering how an original MS1000 looks like. Did they come in different colors or just in white? Does anybody in here have one? Except for the nickel from Matt i never saw one.
And what´s the deal with the TA´s why is nobody buying them? Even for a grand u can´t get them moving anymore.

I could be mistaken but most if not all the MS1K originals were nickel plated. If there are any other colors they may have been custom "one offs" from PG.

believe all orig ms1k's were nickel... some had custom plexi's on the other hand... 20 of which in fact...
The one i have was one of those 20 as confirmed by serial number by phil koehn formerly of PG. he explained to me that there were 50 made, 20 of which that were custom with the black caps, and different plexis... that's the one i have with the gold plexi, and not the traditional blue plue plexi.
as seen below.
1st pic = traditional blue plexi
2nd & 3rd pic= custom amp and plexi. (mine before the damage in shipping) all the same now, except the plexi is in two pieces. BUT i have a stack of plexi's that one of which will soon be a new plexi for it...as i have just found this week a screener that can output my artwork (YIPPE YAHOO), i will do that MS1K plexi for it like i posted before. (the circuit board layout for the full 1000 stretch)

I know what it is worth to you Matt and i know that this might be the average selling price for them as well! And that´s way too much for my wallet at any time soon. I´m in the process of quitting my job and look for something else so i finally can stay home in austria.
I was really thinking for a long time to buy yours Matt just couldn´t get arround it. The only thing i could think of is offering u a trade but for now i´ll have to wait for a PM from pedi.

It´s not a whale of a story but for what my friend described and told me i just bought a Nickel in italy for 300Euros! Before u get too excited i got to say that it was installed in a car that had an accident and it´s almost worhtless. The only part that survived without severe damage is the sink. The boards seem to be ok but i don´t bet on that. It also could be that it is just an aftermarket unit and somebody chromeplated or chromepainted it. I don´t know now. As 300Euro sounded way to good to be true and i always can use a sink only even if it´s not a nickel i just pulled the trigger and told my friend to get it for me! He should be back home by tonight and will send me some pics. I also told him not to take it with him if the sink has broken fins is twisted or bent to hell.
We got no pic´s of the amp right now and i´m sitting on nails

Everything fited! Should have asked for the torroid colour too and not just the capacitor colour!

Regular TA painted silver and the sink is busted in a bad way too! If u lay it flat on the ground u could slide a pen underneath it! Thats how big the gap in the middle of the sink is!
I really need to stay calm for the future when it comes to finds like that
