Route 66 options...

Post by Audiophiliac »

Looks like I will probably end up with a Route 66 tomorrow. Price is right no matter what. Not sure if I will keep it or not, but if I do, not sure how I can use it with my system configuration.

I will run a basic 2-way front stage and a sub. With the way the Route 66 is wired, I do not know how to best utilize all 6 channels. Since the rears are hardwired to the fronts, I am thinking of going with a comp. set with biamp capable passives (probably Exile Xtec65 again) and using the rear channels to run the tweeters.

Seems like this would be the best way to go about using it all, yeah? Anyone else have any other ideas? My system sounded badass with the M44 I ran a long time ago. So adding a M25 to the mix can only make it better. :)

I remember seeing a different manual or tech tips with some different system diagrams using the Route 66. Anyone know where this might be? Are all the channels bridgeable? Maybe I can find a second Route 66 and do one per side. ;)

We will see. Stay tuned.
