here the deal as of now I just bought a Focal 15 from Joerg(thanks) so I need 500x1 4ohm
than Im going to add front Focal k2 6.5 mids and tweeters so 75x2 or 50-75x4
I still don't know if Im going to do rear fill
I still need to buy a audio control/jl audio item to change my speaker wire into rca
As of now they still don't have a mounting kit for my car(stupid) but what do you do.
I would like some very nice sounding and looking amps for this set up
2 or 4 channel would be fine for the fronts
I have used most of pg's item and sorry to say im not going to use pg this time. Unless someone want to unload 2 zpa03 minty for cheap!!
New or older what are some nice amps for this set up
the 2 amp need to be the same style as they will both be shown in the install
Ideas so far are old Orion xtr or hcca, concept 97.1 and 97.3 amps
I know some of you guy use other amp and love them (calling Marko)hifonics
but what other are out there that work great and sound great
I would like them to have xover but not a must....
I have time as I will not be getting to the install till next year may
but my wife said I need to set a budget so I don't fill the home with items Im not going to use

So the one thing you're sure of is that you don't want to use PG?
Well, I'm sure there are many other fantastic brands to use. PPI, US Amps, Orion, Hifinics, A/D/S (didn't you just sell one to Tom?).
But, I can't personally recommend given my serious lack of experience with the competition.

Why not the new Focal amps? They are pricey but damn good, from what I have seen. Then your whole install would match

Even the older style focal amps would do it! And this would be as good as it gets then!
Other than that i suggest u take a MS275 for the front and a MS2125 for the Woofer! Thats pretty similar to what i had in the car except for that i was runnig the front active with one of my SOFAS
amps

I like the new focal amp we are talking about the le amp not the funny red ones right? It not that I don't want pg it just the last 15 years I have had them and would like to try something else
that why if pg I was thinking zpa.03 x2 owned one never used one
I have used A/D/S but (i traded mine to Thunderdome)
I had older ppi a600.2 art series but never used them. I used allot of there PC amp pc4100,pc275,pc250 and pc225 There ok (sold them at A&B sound back when they came out)used lower line like alpine v12,clarion, US Acustics (grey/red amp), Audio art and blade amps
loved them both but you can never find them in 100% minty working order
Used orion xtr/hcca amp loved them they just got very warm
Tom whats so good about the new focal??? I really don't know anything about them.
anyone here used one before?how do they sound
Joerg Even the older style focal amps would do it! And this would be as good as it gets then!
what are the older amps are there allot of them were you are?if you come across 2 minty one that will work send me a pm
I would like to have everything form they same line or close.
if you have more info on them please send it to me

above mentioned and as for my .02 and to add to the list from my past installs/expirience... I would say also LP Amps are very nice and if you can find one... grab the AX-TU4360 (not to be confused with the AX-TU4360C, or AX-4360) from US AMPS-
very very bee-you-tee-full sounding amp...think maybe the best I have ever heard and regretted selling it ever since i sold it and shipped itto Malaysia
but in lieu of that- PM SENT

Nice... i've always wanted to see one of those amps in the flesh.
Pity about the shipping cost though
I'll bet you wouldn't be disappointed with that one amp powering your whole system, like in my car. You should at least try it out before buying a bigger sub amp... give your wallet a break

final question should I buy a focal fp 150.2 or the fp 800.1 Im going to run it 4 ohm bridged and they have about the same specs
but the 150.2 is a/b and the 800.1 is class d???
if it was your money and they were the same price what would you do?
Joerg/Tom and anyone else with a idea or coment

I heart A/B.
But it's less efficient and you get less watts per dollar compared to most class D offerings.
I would go A/B on subs that don't need to get stupid loud any day.

Yeah that's about how I feel. Considering you get the same power, and they both match your install, I would take the A/B.
As I said before though... try running it bridged on the rear of your four channel FIRST

will do
The a/b is $100 more so its cool
I will try the 4channel first before I buy another amp
