What 8"s are the best?

I need a little help here, as I am too old school....

I need some 8" mids for my old-school install, but I cannot figure what speakers to use (from the 90s..). So I might go for some 8"s from a newer date. But if the mids are going to be "new-school", I want to use some PG-mids, not other brands...

So.. the question is:

What 8" mids from Phoenix Gold are the best? I'd prefer if they could handle the wattage of a bridged MS275.

thanks,

Pedi

But that is not Phoenix Gold... And They are even hard to get in a decent shape.. back in the 90s it was Orion and Lanzar Pro Series that rocked 8"s here in Norway...

I just stumbeled over them 5 minutes ago...

I could not believe that Gonzos could replace the good old XTRs???

And I guess the Gonzos are cheaper new (se add) than what I would have to buy for a set of 15 year old XTRs??

Strange...

Will come, but maybe next year.

I have a BMW Alpina B7Turbo that I must finish for my GF first of all... So after THAT, I might get the time for car audio...
