Help with pg titanium 10d??

I just picked up a titanium 10d... awesome little sub! I currently have it just in a sealed box, but I want to know whats the best enclosure type for it, and what should the specs be?
Second question... I might pick up another online, but the guy doest know if its dual 4ohm. All he said was the manual has info on the titanium 10d and titanium 10. I dont know a whole lot about these subs yet... whats the difference? And how can he tell if its the same spec sub as mine? Thanks!

That sub only comes in single 4 ohm or dual 4 ohm configuration. So..... if the one you are buying has 2 terminals it's the dual, if only 1 terminal it's a single.

the box size and type will depend on you and your taste in music as well as how much power you are throwing at it.

the " D " in the model name usually indicates thats a dual VC sub

and since you are unsure of the difference, it is very VERY important if it is a dual voice coil that BOTH coils are wired to make it play. It will play with only one coil but not for long.....

Well I know the diff between single and dual voice coil, just wasnt sure which model name went with which configuration. I knew the sub I had was a dual 4ohm, but the guy I was lookin to buy from had no idea what his was. Turns out its a single voice coil
. As for mine, its definitely hooked up right
.

I usually prefer ported enclosures. I do like the sound of sealed, but not for just one sub. For power I have the jl 500/1. What airspace and tuning should I shoot for? Any suggestions?

For that sub I would go sealed. I ran mine both sealed and ported, and while ported was obscenely loud and would flex the roof with ease, it was boomy and had enough delay to be annoying. Then again I don't usually like ported setups in cars for the same reasons. When installed in small (.6cf) sealed boxes the Ti10's are like a gatling gun.
I would recommend PG's SQ box guidelines in the manual.
