does this thing work?

it lowers the load your amp see's so i can have a 4 ohm sub and use this and maybe get 2 ohm power out of the amp?

thats what i was thinking.

the problem i see is if the thing worked it doesnt look like it would be aboe to handle a good amount of power, wires look to small to handle the current

it is a spin off of the accumatch

yeah it will put a solid load on the amp and it does work

but you are limited to output pwer depending on teh size of it.

that is a cool idea. too bad all my amps are optimized to run at 4ohms.

FYI - transformers will limit bandwidth, so yes your amp may put out more power but you will lose low end response.

yes, it works. They have limited applications though. For the $ difference you coulda bought an amp that puts out that much power.

Their killer app was matching midbass drivers to HLCD's back when competitions were limited on 4 ohm power ratings.

And they can saturate as well... so they aren't good for real high power situations.
