Amp wiring kits

I have been searching around for an amp wiring kit and it seems that the kicker PKD1 might be the best value out there. Just over $100 gets 20' of 1/0, and enough 4 ga. to do 2 amps (I will be using both for my X200.4), and a nice looking fuse block and distros. My only slight (very slight) concern was the lack of a fused power distro. I do not think it is absolutely necessary, but that added protection and practicality is nice. I can always pick up a fused block and call it good though. Its nice to be able to "defuse" and disconnect things without having to pull out the main fuse.

The only other kit that caught my eye was JL's 2 ga. dual kit. Its about $50 more than the kicker, and 2 ga. vs. 1/0. Not a huge difference for my system, but a bit easier to run. Also it includes longer runs of 4 ga. which would come in handy for me. Their fuse holder and ground terminal are slick too. Again, no fused distro. but it is what it is.

Any other ideas? I can piece together everything, but by the time I got wire, terminals, heatshrink, all the other parts and pieces, and the time involved to terminate everything (both kits above come pre-terminated), its probably a wash as far as cost is concerned.

the kicker amp is sweet deal...the only other kit is the pg akit1, but you would still need to source the distribution block and 4awg.

even the knu kits dont come as inclusive as that, and you would need to add the 4awg and blocks

Yeah I would get the AKIT1, but as you said, I would still need blocks and I do not need the battery clamp as sweet as it is. Plus it does not include any 4 ga. Good price for what it is though. I really like the JL kits, but their price is ridiculous. I am going to see if I can get one since we are JL home dealers. :) otherwise it will be the PKD1. I think I might even be able to swing a deal on those.

Eh.....I got a PKD1 on schmebay for $100 shipped. I might need a few more feet of 4 gauge but I have a local hookup for that. :) Amp should be here soon....kit will be here shortly after, and then its install time. :)

Unless I decide to switch speakers. Anyone want a minty set of Polk SR6500? ;)

kicker kit is awesome true spec wire, used it for my 2 12'' rsdc's with ryval 800,and hifonics 6x9's and 6.5 components up front with hifonics 680w rms amp, only thing was needed a little more 4 awg and smaller fuse, they give you a 300 amp which is too much, great flexible wire though
