I know this isn't cool as other peoples amazing LE equip but I am a poor college student and I can only afford regular stuff aka xenon. They seem like the power house of the PG line. Plus I can run it at any ohms which is sick!

Anyways to sum it up, I received my xenon 1200.1 and xenon 200.4 and they both went into protect mode. Finally saved and saved and just got back my xenon 1200.1 from being repaired... I am so happy.

Just to let any of you who wonder about the infamous xenon problem it says on the work performed:
"Replaced PS FET's, PS drivers Q7 and Q8, All output FET's Tested amp on AP system, burned-in and Sound tested OK"

So any of you amp repair people maybe you can understand what this means and fix my xenon 200.4 LOL! either that or I have to send it in as well.

Let me know what yall think

Thanks I am going to hook this back up to my single rsdc12 and run 600rms to it. However the bigger plan is to save a little more and get the xcon 12 and be SET. I cant wait to get the xcon 12 and run it off of my xenon should be money... and I will write a review on it as well. Big plans and then my system will be set. Until the secret PG amps come out in jan :)

Your failure on the X1200.1 is likely from abuse, not the typical Xenon failures. My X600.1 needed the exact same work, and it was highly abused. The X200.4 could be a whole assortment of things, not even close to the X1200.1.

I swear to u i didnt abuse it. I had my zx350 then put in the x200.4 and had it set via dmm and everything. Def not me abusing it. It was a problem that xenons were known for. Also weird that the x1200.1 only lasted 3 days as well before going into protect mode. Ive had the zx350 hoojed up and its been fine no probs. However not nearly enuff power.

The Xenon problems were cold solder joints. I dunno if those could have caused the damage that your repair guy was fixing or not.

All of my amps were bnib. And 3 days they lasted? Had to be that. And put in ti and zx350 amps in replace and it works fine? Ya......

Yeah, it sounds like the replaced a lot of parts on the board. The typical xenon problem doesn't involve replacing parts, just re attachinbg them. Maybe the repairer was just being cautous?

Maybe he felt guilty carging you money for just re-solidering some parts? Either way, sounds like you are ready to rock now

Yea I agree. He replaced the PS FETs basically giving me another BNIB xenon that is soldered perfectly and just replaced. I am very eager to get this hooked up to a xcon 12 inch. I can't wait.

BUY MY ITOUCH ITS GOING TO A GOOD CAUSE aka the xcon fund LOL
