rsd 12 VS ti elite 12

by spring time i plan on getting a ti elite

the ti elite will powered by 2 ms2125 (one per coil)

i currently have a rsd 12 that hopefully soon will be powered by 1 ms2125

i've heard about bioth subs, but never heard them compared to eachother.

i know that the ti elite will be alot louder then the rsd, so thats not what i wold like to compare as i know that already

what i would like to know is which one will hiot lower notes, and which one will have better SQ, and which one will be more accurate?

it has been hinted to me that the ti elite is pretty much a dead on accurate sub, so im assuming that it will sound better thent he rsd

any thoughts guys?

Watt per watt the RSd12 will be louder.

Real world with the power difference you will be providing to compare the two drivers they should be a decent match in output.

The Elite is a beast and is very accurate down low. You will be happy either way but plan to do some serious electrical upgrades if you plan to run the Elite.

Having heard the Elite, but not the RSD, I think the reviews for the RSD are remarkably similar to how I would explain the Elite to someone. The Ti Elite has GOBS of low end, way way way more deep bass than the regular Ti subs I ran before.

As for being louder, I'm not so sure. The Ti Elite can move more air, but it takes more power to do so. I guess at each of their RMS ratings the Ti would outdo the RSD, but only because it's getting more than double the power. On the same power the RSD would undoubtedly own it.

So pretty much the way I THINK the RSD sounds, I imagine the Ti Elite is just a bigger, less efficient monster sub with three times the power handling.

three times the power handling.
maybe 3x the RMS..... 8) the rsd can take loads and loads of power

In my experience most well produced speakers can handle well over two times their RMS power as long as it is clean and undistorted, and if they are crossed over to avoid going past Xmax.

I have tested a Ti Elite for a week at 3000 watts before detuning it to 2000... do you think the RSD would manage that too?

then i would have to add this to the mix.

which one would have a better transition into my ti elites up front?

also from what i am gatherring, you guys think it might not be worth the swap?

if the low end is more accurate on the ti elite, and im assuming it would hit the lower notes with some more authority thent he rsd, i still would swap it out.

the reason being that my car isnt set up to be real loud, you fell more of the bass in your chest and your ear drums as opposed to just rattling everything loose in the car, which works out good in my car now

i guess im looking for it to get just a notch louder then i am, and be able to hit the lower notes with a little more authority then then the rsd.

is this what ill be getting if i go with the ti elite?

The Elite is a bruiser. Whether it will be more tonally accurate... I doubt it, but it will definitely be capable of getting louder and more authoritative. Since you are running a ported setup, the Elite is definitely what you want. I would keep the RSD to sealed setups and SQ.

having heard both with teh same amp
i can tell you that the rsd is a more effecient woofer all around.
it will have much more upper bass impact
but the ti elite has way more authority in the bottom end and will
take the pwer to do it.

if you need to have a more balanced sub then grab the rsd.

if you want a sub that hits some really good low end then yeah grab the
elite.
i ran my ms2125 on mine bridged and it hit pretty decent.
wasnt like earth shattering but it did hurt my ears on the low end.

if i get the ti elite 12 i would power it with 2 ms2125's, one bridged to each coil
