...Actually it is a US Amps US700T with the tri-path chip in it....
350 x 2 or 700 x 1 @ 4ohms....
going to feed the amps 8 volts....I am going to use 1 for fronts and 1 for sub.....

They are rated for 150, and I don't doubt they would handle 200+. 320 though... that's a bit extreme for ANY comp set. Between the Pioneers (rated for 50 watts) and the RSDs, I think the RSDs would probably be less likely to die on that power. Just be careful with your gains and everything should be cool, especially if you run them sealed.

Well thats funny....too much power....never thought I would hear that.....
I figured I would have the gains all the way down and be OK.....8 volts of clean power from a US AMPS LINE DRIVER to the amps I should be able to turn them all the way down and be good....right?

Last set went for a
pretty penny...
Comparing raw speakers, I doubt the RSD's have much lower power handling than the Elites. I think the Elites just have a more robust/less efficient crossover, so they may be able to handle more.
No matter what comp set you play with, 300 watts is going to be a LOT. Go easy on the volume and listen for signs of stress and you should be fine.

wow that Ebay auction went for more than the new ones at Woofers...
Speaking of....I do believe I am going to give them Elites a real good thought....
so these new Premiers may be for sale.. very soon

I'm pushing only 40-55W at most to each side of my RSD 6" components and that already sounds pretty damn amazing.
350W does seem like overkill and I'm not well versed enough to comment on if the RSD comps can handle that much power but it seems to me like they probably could, just as long as you're careful with gain settings and such.
I love the way they sound.
Do you like midbass? You'll like the RSD comps.

The RSD comps are very good for the money, as has been mentioned, but they're not in the same league as the prs720's. I just got them on my display board, and they compare pretty well with the Quart QSD's that we offer as our premium components (for twice the retail price I might add). The only problem i've had with the prs comps so far is they're huge. You're talking cusom kicks for most vehicles, but speakers of that caliber deserve nothing less anyhow. The elites are a great high power set, but the amount of power you're considering will really only be used for dynamic headroom no matter what set of speakers you're considering.

well one of my other concerns was the size of the 720's....so when the power became an issue to consider I decided I might need something else...
I think I will be very happy with elites once they get here..
now to sell these 720's

pussies....I threw half a ms1000ta on my old rsd 6.5cs they loved.
I agree with jed from what I've heard from other online, the prs set is supposed to be simply amazing for it's price...
You'll like your ti elites if you like "warmth" added to your music. That big VC featured in morel and dyn adds that "warmth" to any music you'll listen too, but they are not the best in pure music reproduction IMO. The tweet on that set is awsome too, I loved it; in the top three of my favorite compact dome tweeters I've owned. Also try to get that woofer in about .3 cu ft
