Question about mounting depth

RSDC10 mounting depth is 5.80” .How much room do you need for mounting depth between magnet and the sub box. Would 6.50” be good enough room? What would the minimum be?

Thanks

yeah, 6.5 is enough. it only needs enough room for the pole vent to reasonably move air through it. if the pole vent is a 1 inch circle, .7 inches is plenty of area to dissipate that air(plus the mount depth accounts for the rubber boot which adds another .5 inch)

Thanks. So can you remove the rubber boot and gain more mounting depth?

the boot has the 4 "rubber feet" that are used to make a buffer to make sure you can't mount the magnet right agaist the back of the box.

you dont need to remove it. the rubber feet add room for the pole vent in addition to the .7 you accounted for
