Phoenix Gold Phorum

Feel quite dumb asking this question. I have 2 Phoenix Gold older Titanium 600.2 amps in my truck. Haven't used system in awile, but tried it yesterday for a little while, barely turning it up. I come out this morning to drive truck, since it has been stored for a little while. Crank up the truck and instantly upon amp powering on, subwoofers are pushing max constantly.

Obviously the amp powers up, all the lights are lit up inside. Only thing I can think of is that possibly a transistor is stuck open? Other amp works fine.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem with my Ti600.2 only a week ago.

Hadn't used it for about 18months and when my installer connected a sub to it the sub would pound with no music playing.

Mine ended up being the amps cross over pot.

I think mine is having the same issue...did you send it into PG for repair? If so I was wondering what the final cost was...I know they charge a flat rate of 130, but anything extra for that particular issue with the amp? Oh yeah and how long was the turn around time for repair, thanks!

The crossover pots oxidize over time, so it is a good idea to turn them back and forth a bit to free them up every now and then. Eventually they will need to be replaced.
