I used WinRAR to uncompress then pulled the tracks into I-Tunes. No sweat.
Later I will burn these to CD for better mobile access.
Enjoy!
Focal SQ discs and Test tunes
I just don't get you kids these days. Always downloading everything. What ever happened to buying a CD to hear all of the sound? I can't believe that all of the information is still there after all of the compression and rarefaction.
Besides isn't this at the base of what the economy and ultimately why this industry suffers? Too many people that want to pay nothing and get it all. If you really wanted the full CD you should go out and buy it!!!

It's lossless encoded (equivalent to CD original) and a non-production disc, so Focal won't be losing any money on this.lashlee wrote:I just don't get you kids these days. I would understand if these discs were the only discs that this happened to but to the mass society this is a way to fraud the artists. And like my original arguement, it's also where brick and mortar shops get sold short from the glorious internet.
I will also admit that since I don't own an iPod I don't see how anything that can get converted be considered equivalent to the CD original.

CDs are digital, as are computer files. Ripping CD quality originals has always been possible... the only downside was you always had enormous files to deal with, or needed to do a lot of pre-processing to get the originals back, until recently.lashlee wrote:I will also admit that since I don't own an iPod I don't see how anything that can get converted be considered equivalent to the CD original.
When you zip a file and send it, it is smaller than the original, but you get the exact same file back when you unzip it. This is called lossless compression; you shrink the signal down in ways that do not harm the original. The CD data is read bit by bit into the computer, compressed, and stored in equal quality with less bits than the original data. However, you are still able to fully reconstruct those bits on the fly with no difference to the original data.
Sure downloading pirated music may be a crime, but times have changed as well. Apple's iTunes is now the #1 reseller of music these days, and they have countless lossless or high-bitrate CDs available for legal download.
i can't understand how you can put something back that was taken from the original cd

They were riped from the original source in LOSSLESS format! Meaning they are a 100% mirrored copy of the original. I can remember which one but, to burn it to a CD. The gap between songs cant be greater than 1 second.
