Hi guys, can someone let me know the exact dimensions in mm, of the MS 2250...

1). with shroud - max foot print area
2). just the metal heatsink - WITHOUT the plastic terminals

I'm curious if this is any bigger than a 2125...

Thanks!

Without the shroud, the MS2250 and MS2125 are the exact same amp, aside from some changes in the power supply to boost voltage for the MS2250.

Ok thanks for that.

No wonder the 2250 has a ton of fans with it - dealing with twice the power in the same sized sink!

:hurr: :hurr: :hurr:

seriously though, if you want to run an ms2250 without shroud go for the later tenth anniversary, these are designed to run cooler without a shroud and still make healthy power.. and are white to match the 275 and 2125 8)

The newer 2250 sounds more practical.

The only thing is I plan on running 2ohm mono sub load. So I suspect this may be too hot for a 2250 without fans!

the later TA version will be fine at 2ohm mono loads 8)

Would the old 2125 be ok into 2ohm mono too? Or only the newer TA 2125?

old 2125 is fine at 2ohms mono, about 700 watts rms.

Ok cool, just double checking.

I put a WTB in the classifieds, in case anyone has a 2250 TA...
