HI,

i did a search but cant seem to find the answer to my problem.

I have a pair of RSDC102(10" DVC, 2+2 OHM) hooked up to a ryval 1502(2ohm). im having trouble with which way to wire the dvc subs. i tried the series wiring, but they are only loud if i put both subs on one channel, and i know this is wrong.

can someone please explain which is the best way to hook them up, or do i have the wrong amp?

I'd get yerself the V8001 if I was you. Use this amp for fronts.......

Running in series is best for this amp but it doesn't make tons of power.

so basically this amp is not good for these subs?

with the V8001, i would wire the same way?

For the V8001 you'd run it series/parallel for 2ohm where that amp creates the most power. Not a bad amp for $150 bux or so. Even if it only made a reliable 1000 without strainin a nut.......

Ya might like the way those woofers sound on the 250-300 each the 1501 provides.......

to elaborate on what fuzzy said...the 1502 shouldn't be ran at 2ohms bridged.

so the other load you can put on it with those subs is 4ohms stereo (or 8ohms bridged). which is safe, but you will only be giving the subs about 150 each.

on THe other hand the V800.1 is designed to run at 2ohms. and would be putting about 400 to each sub

i ordered the v800.1 last night, $165 shipped with fedex.

oh, and at a 2ohm load the amp would'nt even play them bridged, in would automatically trip the protect.

Nice 2010 Camaro install - I will be doing one of those myself next summer.

How do you like the sound with 2 10's? I will be running 2 10" Daytons ported in the trunk.

How did you get signal for the amp? VERY interested in your install...

i used a line out converter that had the remote line feed on it. sounds very good,

i have the amp turned down about half way. i know theres always a debate on it, but i have a CAP on its way to help out when i have it cranked up past 3/4 of the way.


i dont have the Boston Acoustics sytem , so i tied in to the rear speakers for signal

So wats a good size box for just one rsdc10, or how big is urs which has 2 in it?

Where are you located? I'm in Portland/Vancouver...

I am planning the install now, long before I even get the car, to run a pair of the PPI fronts, dayton 10" subs and a PG Roadster66 under plexi. I figured I would get the subthump boxes for a single 10" that go on either side of the trunk and have .8 cubes each.

Right now I am thinking about using a Fosgate 360.2 for signal, but that might be overkill... so the PAC solution might be perfect to keep the install super super clean.

I agree with you on the cap. I have used one in every install I have had since the 90's. Even when doing the "big 3" upgrade, I think caps help as a power filter and a slight power reserve. Currently run just a .5 farad in my 400w tacoma install.

Let us know how it all works out for you and if your local - i'll buy the beers if you'll let me take a look at your install and gain some inspiration and maybe some measurements?

i think each 10 has 1.8 cubic ft. in the box. i got the box from subthump.com. i think the rsdc10 needs somthing like 1.3cft

that would be cool, but I'm in south Louisiana, so it would a hell of a road trip this is the second sub thump box Ive used, and I'm very impressed with their products.
