What is the max rms you guys seen these puppies handle?

I have 2 rsdc 10s. Im only running each at 375 and im impressed...
but i need to feed them full 600w a piece...

any chance these puppies can handle more?

you can feed any speaker with as much power as you want as long as you have them crossed over and your amp gains adjusted accordingly.(more power = less gain) I have never had a problem running systems like this and have never blown a speaker and have been very satisfied with the sound as well 8)

well i understand and have heard that theory, but I also know there is a thermal limit to which subs can handle power..
so i was just curious how much they can truly handle, could they handle 750 unclipped?

as he said, yes they can. I would rather push too much power to a speaker then too little as it is easier to keep out of clipping(assuming a good amp/signal).

More is better than too little, its better to over power than under power. As ttocs stated.

but isnt there a LIMIT point...
i understand what you guys are saying...but i know subs cant handle INFINTY power either...

whats the highest you could go without pushing the subs thermal limits

The limit is thermal.

The sub can only dissipate so much heat. More power = more heat. What that is for RSdC10s, I don't specifically know. Probably 1200W of clean power each is the top end of that but I'm really just guessing, that's not actual knowledge.

i dont think any of us know the true thermal limit of them. they ARE made with good cooling characteristics. vented pole, vented spider the frame is cast which acts as a heatsink

they should reach full mechanical excursion before 600, so while they can HANDLE more...you wont gain anything form it.

if you feel like trying to find the thermal limit let us know!

so i guess pushing 600 watts is the best then eh? haha

at some point I'm gonna swap to RSd 12's, the dual 4 ohm version, and drive each of the lil bugger's with one 1200.1 per sub  I'm not worried at all....

At the moment no..... It's too dam cold for winter work on a sub swap. I'm gonna wait till the price drops on old PG pre-AAMP and then swoop in for the subs  At that point I'm going sealed just cause it'll be easier at that point, prolly in summer. If some ridiculous price jumps out then yes it's done. that way i'll be rockin all RSd.
