Refurbing FAS#63

When i got the FAS it was in kind a lets say rough condition. :( :( :( The sink had scratches all over, the endplates were rusty as hell and the plexi was broken. One of the big caps was loose which caused the failure of another small capacitor on the MS2125 board.

Today i got the sink back from a local paintshop. Looking at it i still get a hard on    More to come this weekend...

wow that is very nice- looks better than some of my first works - as the bottom of the fins looks like good coverage... as i had trouble with that in the beginning - but also now that i am shooting it horizontally - hopefully i dont have that trouble any more... hey practice makes perfect i guess. Just wish it had come to me sooner before shooting the 1K for you Joerg

I just finished working on the FAS! He´s done and working just fine! I load tested the MS2125 side with a 35Hz tone and two Cyclones on it. The MQ430 had a Zero point comp system on it. Here are some pic´s from the amp! I hope u get a chance to see how shiny this monster is again 8) 8) 8)

Looks great.

Only thing I'd do is change out the caps on the MQ430 side to those which have black heatshrink cover on them so it all matches.
