Yep, they're bringing it to the states! It's part of pioneer's stage 4 product line which consists of lots of other goodies too.

I am partial to Pioneer's speakers. They have excellent mid-bass and the tweeters sound great mounted off axis due to the wave guides. I am curious as to what the differences are between the new Stage 4 components and the TSC-PRS series components. Visually, they look the same with the exception of the color of the cones, and other cosmetic items. I like how they added a dedicated mid-range driver to the set. Too bad the DEX is so damn expensive though.

Looks like the sub is an accordion-type (I think thats how you spell accordion) surround - which is perplexing on a car audio subwoofer - but since they have the wrong URL (broken - "view the TS-W252PRS") I cant quite tell.

See, its this type of attention to detail that frustrates me. If you cant find someone to test the webpage before you deploy it - or cant afford to deploy it to a test server first, how can I have any confidence that you tested anything else as well as it should have been tested...

The amps look sweet on paper - .003%THD; >108db signal to noise...

I am slightly confused on the components though... The stage4 image has what appears to be a 3-way system with a little "TS-C172PRS" on the bottom left - indicating thats the C172PRS system - but when you click on the "View TS-C172PRS" link - its only a 2-way... and when you view the TS-S062PRS it says "New midrange component for use with "Stage 4" four-way system..." - are they counting the subs in the component "ways"?

Nit picking - sorry

The DEX-P99RS is just about the sexiest looking (stats-wise as well as visually) head unit I have ever seen...

see now I thought that the accordian style was only good in PA speakers and made for horrible car/home audio speakers? Can't remember where I hear that but I was told it was correct.

Where did you get that idea?

I couldnt agree more - otherwise they would be everywhere... I have never heard (other than maybe a stroker WAY WAY back in the day, a decent sub with the accordion style surround - which is why (to me) its perplexing - unless its a rubber accordion style surround, which just doesnt make sense to me either.

I think the TS-S062PRS is a midrange you can add to the TS-C172PRS component set if you so desire. And I believe they are counting the subwoofer when they mention 4-way system.

I'm shopping around for the best price on this these days, and will order it when I get my best quote. After talking to a Team Pioneer member here that uses it in his own car, replacing the ODR-D7RII and DEQ-P90 combo he was running before, this HU really has all one could want.

5V preouts, 4way crossover with NO limitations in frequency settings that the old setup had, TA and 31band eq, with individual phase adjustment for each speaker controlled by remote.

You can download the complete manual for it here, it has some awesome features for a 1DIN all-in-one HU: http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/products/25 ... media.html
