did I get a good deal?

Post by vingasoline »

asked the guy why he is selling. He says, not enough power to run my 1000w sub.. and that it's not as good as PG's new shit. :idiot: $100 canadian bucks. He then offers me a rockford punch hx2 10 for $200. glued together with silicone. WTF buddy.

Then proceeds to tell me he installs high end car audio. It's like a hobby to him. Then I tell him what this amp is capable of, and show him the circuit board. the look on his face was  then :-x then  :idiot: and I was like :hurr:

[yes, here we go again]....
CAP ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!! :siren:
You can end up with a" burned catch" here if you are going to use it without changing the inputcaps at least.

Grey [early] amp; nice catch. hope you will take care of it in time.......

Remember: The chart serves only as a starting point. Ultimately you must use your ears as a guide.

What would I need to change to make this a 2250, they look so similar, what's different?

You can not make it a 2250, totally different parts. Look at the size of the transformers; that's the easiest way to tell them apart right away.[2250 torroids are bigger].
The railvoltage in a 2250 is higher, and for the rest it;s Eric D. who really knows all the differences, no sense though in trying to make your own 2250 out of this amp. Enjoy this one after recapping!
