Sub box design for Ti12D

Ok I have done some reading and have not been able to find anything with the search option.
I have read the Elite 12D sub woofer will do well with the Pg box volume for ported boxes.
My question is will the box have to be the standard box, wedge shape?
Can I build a enclosure that hugs the floor pan of my truck with humps and bends with a standard flat box shaped top?
I am not sure if my fiberglass skills will do with such big subs.
I was thinking of using 1" MDF sheets to follow the floor pan and and side panels then some how screw these together and then glass & epoxy the entire bottom section to give it strength.
I was thinking of using a single sheet of mdf to top the box and install flat ports along the top.
I know volume will have to be calculated.
I do not have the room for two standard boxes and my big box for two 18"s
Will this work?
Thanks in advance.
