Well where i get my powder if you oder 50$ or more you get a free 1/2 pound of knock-out red. It sounded real tasty as a color so i tried it... never shot it before- It is a little unorthodox, as i hadn't even done a sample prior to the actual part (m44) to be coated...
BUT/SOOOoooo, i went out on limb and did up one of the 44's last night....
sorry guys left real camera at work- better pic's perhaps later
what'cha guys think....?
Thumbs up or thumbs down....?

Can I be honest and say no......I dunno but something about gold and red do not mix.
Have you tried a royal blue with gold..........think Subaru 555 colors.
But then again this is my perosnal opinion and should not count for much more then that

I like the COLOUR and flake itself... but I don't think it matches the gold sink at all. If the sink was a different colour, it would probably be pretty boss in my opinion.

i actually think the red and gold looks good together in fact
i always thought/think/feel that gold is like one of those colors that it almost could go with anything except silver.
gold blue, gold red, gold black, etc etc
maybe not- i dunno- but i will say although i am not so so thrilled about the color/shade of red- it still looks great in person- i used Large gold flake and really pickers at'cha in the sun- it's fricken so cool!
NOW GUYS WE NEED OT GET THE ARTWORK PROCESS DOWN NOW!!!
THEN WE WOULD BE IN GOOD SHAPE
w/o artwork it really isnt all that much of a site- with the artwork it would increase value by 2 or 3 X i bet
This amp is for sale BTW

in person i think/feel it does....BUT there is room for improvement(s)
i had thought about maybe coating the sink the/a gold to match, but in real life and of which i will take better pic's - it (the sink) doesn't look so so out of place in fact

Yeah, the quality of work you did is great, I just don't like the color/ color combination of red/gold either.

That kind of color calls for airbrushing or hand painting the letters back on. That and a matching M100 in the trunk of a like-painted low-low on gold daytons...............sexy

				I am open to suggestions....
wht color would folks like to see on the sink?
keeping in mind that there is gold flake on /in the clear coat on the red....?
I do have a powder that is call "gold plated"- maybe this ?
or I have a candy gold- like the candy copper, but gold...?
or a nice wet black?
I dunno- I didn't really want to unbutton the sink for this project
I do have some black "phoenix gold" decals, I was considering laying one on, and doing clear over it to get a feel for that whole process and see if vinyl will make it through the cure process/schedule...?

Not being racist or anything, but that reminds me of my homeland colors :p (I'm Macedonian)
Apart from that... That looks clean and sexy. If you have multiple M series amps looking like this for an install that consists of a red and gold theme..... then NewOldStock put it well: "SEXAY"

It's a thumbs-up from me

I like it! But it would have to go with the install for sure. I think red with the gold works.
Granted for most of my installs a wet black or gold flake black would be the shit... More to come on that for the next vehicle. Which I would like to do M44 and M100. And I have time to be patient on that build.
Keep it coming!!!

If it had all gold silk screen, it'd be sweet.. the flake matches the sink and the terminals well and makes the red pop more...
I dig it.

I think the only reason I don't like it is because I am a Cowboys fan and it reminds me of the crappy 49'ers!

Its actually not to bad. Maybe with gold silk screening it would look better.
