Is my tweeter blown?

I was listening to music yesterday and it really sounded "confused". I faded from right to left and noticed that my right front tweeter was playing really low. This happened a month or so ago and the only way to fix it is to turn the volume up loud. Once I turned the volume up really loud the tweeter cut back in and played fine at all volume levels. This is wierd to say the least! I was thinking that it was some sort of protection for the tweeter but it has happened on the same side twice. hmmm. It plays great right now but im waiting fir it to happen again. Any thoughts my PG gurus?

And for reference it is the MbQuart QSD-216 set.
