here we go Im using a tantrum 1200.1 on sub duty and im going to use a 4 channel active on my focal mid/tweeters
the speakers are not power hungry
i have a 400.4 minty with end plate or a have a 600.4 the only problem there are 2 larger marks on the amp from the top
do you think the 400.4 will be lots for a set of 6.5 mid and tweeter? I have never used these pg amps
I have to say Im using a 300.2 on sub duty in my friends set up and its a great little amp
let me know what you guys think

1.5dB difference between those two amps in theory. Not a big deal. I still think you should use both and bridge the 400 to the tweets, and the 600 to the mids.

if you use the big amp, you will never wonder if it could sound better with more power.
If you use the small amp, you will always wonder.......
If it is the cosmetics that bother you then try to figure out a way to make it better. The two diamond audio D9 800.4 amps I use in my mustang were arranged the way they are because the one amp has good enough scratch in the chrome to make me want to hide it. There are lots of ways to fix it cosmetically from hiding the damaged part to maybe paint/powder to match the exterior.
Now if we only knew someone that was good with powder huh?

nice tom im sure the focal will make noise for about a minute before they fry
if its only 1.5 db than the little it is
its more power than i need so i will be happy with my set up
