My set up..

What do you think of my set up?

Alpine CDA-9827 HU I have had for over 5 years.. Thinking about upgrading but I have no clue what to upgrade to...

Alpine type-R 6 x 9s in the doors.

Type-R 5.25 in the back.

Powered by a Clarion XR2410.

I have 2 - RSDC122 sitting in my room and a soundstream 2000 watt mono amp @ 1 ohm (PCX2000D) planning on running it at 2 ohms actually and I have a 2 farad capacitor ordered.. Just waiting on a box.. Can't really come up with a good design for the box..

Is there anything I'm missing? And should I upgrade my head unit? If so what should I get?

Edit: This is going in a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 single cab 4x4.

Also thinking about buying a better battery maybe a yellow top?

Do I need to get a new alternator at some point?

I'm running an 8 ga. stinger kit to the clarion amp and 4ga to the soundstream.

If you are really trying to use 2000 watts then you will probably need a run of 0 or two runs of two gauge. Thats alot of juice. You should also look into upgrading the big three.(Wire from alternator to battery, ground to body and chassis) other than that sounds like a concert on wheels.
Edit: o Yeah and use that 4 gauge for your clarion amp and that 8 gauge to wire up your subs  little over kill but its so intimidating when you see 8 gauge wires running from this BiGA$$ amp to your subs, and you can never use too good of wire.

I'd suggest upgrading to a kinetik battery and upgraded alternator if ya can. But a power cable/Big 3 upgrade would be first on my list.

and burying that amp in the back some how, it has the noisest fan there is- 1800-2000 kinetik would help, unless your going to be jamming every second of the day in the vehicle, the alternator can go on the back burner- I have 3800 watts, several batteries, and my alternator is doing fine- she is a little warm, but no noise and has been functioning fine for nearly a year-

Well the way Ill be running the amp it'll be running at 1400 continuous.. but ill have the gain turned down some...

I really have no clue about doing the big 3........

Anyone have any opinion on my headunit? I'd like to get one eventually that I could play music off of my droid, either bluetooth or through an aux port

Here is some info you may find useful. Step 1, I believe, is the "Big 3".
