These things must be fragile but i have to say its my fault. One of two things happened, i sent it a dirty signal for an extended period of time, or something got down in the voice coils home and beat him up. :? The last time I had it hooked up it was on the backside of my 200.4 in my van for a show I went to. At the show I got inebriated and commenced to listen to techno so loud it was in me. Very good night. I was in a rush to put all of it in there about 2 hours before we had to hit the road, and Im talking running wire and everything so i didnt set my gains properly, just did a quick balancing blending with the fronts with the crossover off. Maybe i turned it up to loud for too long because now Ive got some voice coil rubbing. I noticed it a couple days ago and dissassembled to find my voice coil appears to have been drug down the road on the very bottom. The strange thing is now that i put it back together and hooked it up, i moved the subwoofer up in between the front seats of my van so I could montior the noise and i dont hear anything. And im talking running full off of my x1200.1. Clean bass in my face :hmm: So that makes me think something was in there that I didnt see. maybe causing the voice coil to get sideways alittle during long throws. anyone have similar things happen. Needless to say instead of reconing it again i am going to try to find a pair of rsdc's  So all is not bad.
