OK guys, fried one of my Rsdc 12s 2 weeks ago, with a hifonics Brutus, so I ordered 2 new hifonics Atlas subs, just got em in and turned it on without even giving them much juice, and pop!! One of them literally domed right out like a bubble, LOL, wtf happened?? Defective voice coil?? Have warranty on em, thanks
Paralled for 1 ohm, instantly popped right out! LOL, I'm a electrician so I know electrical, manufacture defect?? Buddy that helped me used to compete etc, said he'd never seen that
He knows what he's doing, wired right, just wondering if you guys have seen this happen on brand new sub, other one is fine, running 1/0 for power with 12 awg going to subs so good wiring, bad voicecoil??
Yer having all sorts of bad luck with woofers so I have to think that they are being wired wrong in the first place. They aren't going to warranty a woofer that's been "abused" or installed incorrectly..... Can you take pictures of how things are wired so we can help ya alittle better......
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!
Brand new amp though, had quite a bit of boost and gain before though, still wouldn't explain why the sub just popped out though! LOL, especially when other one is fine and they are paralleled

Which brutus amp do you have???? The site seems to say ALL of the mono's are brutus' but different models......

From what I gather it sounds like the outputs to the amp are shorted.
Subs don't move out or in on their own without a signal from the amp telling it to do so.

No longer really "in tune" with the audio industry, and probably have not been for some time.
Hands down the forum's most ignorant member...
Don't even know what Ohm's law is...
