so a friend owes me a favor and is buying me new subs for doing some glassing work on his system, i have 2 tantrum x 10's but if i can get something better and throw the tantrums in my girls car for free i will. so im debating getting some w3v2 2 ohm but when i compare the tantrum and the jl my tantrum looks to be built better.
i have everything right now in a silverado but i plan on getting a 2010 gti in a year or 2 so help me out

just a normal rsd is smiler output, but play lower then the tantrum x's.
although the rsdc's are half the price and rip the w3's apart

ive got a single rsd running off of an M50 bridged, in a ported box tuned to 35hz..... and it fucking pounds

I was pleasently surprisede at the output of this little giant. This thing is still wanting more power aswell

These subs kick some seriouse ass!

right now i have 3 600.2 behind my seat in my silverado
i have a 1000.2 that i could most likely fit back there too. if i moved the cap to another location. or if i could get my hands on a power core. im just trying to get a good balance of sq and spl... i know im asking for both of best worlds. if n e one near LA, orange county or san ber have some rsd's running let me hear them. i have yet to hear any of them.

for a second i thought i had something special. is there a big diff between the ti that says AL at the end of it? i have a 1200.1 AL i know its made of aluminum instead of steel but other than material is it diffrent at all?

sorry to get your hopes up
as far as guts go, no, the AL's arent different. they are just cool as hell. much lighter and wont ever have the spiderweb rust that seems to seep into normal ti gear

I mean I have $300 budget for 2 subs should I just wait for the new subs to comeout? I hope the new TI sub doesn't sound metalic like the last one

the rsdc's you found still fit in that budget, and i can't think of anything that can compete with them in that price range....or even a bit out of that range
the new ti subs are just slightly modified rsdc's anyway....and i promise they wont be anywhere near what rsdc's are going for currently

But once the new ones the old ones will become cheaper... At least that always tend to happen, and the new subs do look very nice IMO
