here the problem i am having in a friends car we installed the tantrum 600.4 to run front and rears
nothing crazy
the rear have cut out 100% and the front left stays on all the time but the right cuts in and out once in a while
what should i look for when looking at the amp? the pioneer deck he has also has the xover in it so we can maybe bypass the amp xover?
he also said that adjusting the gain doesn't do much at all and it crackles when he it turned
info help ect would be great

Crackling when making gain changes indicates bad/dirty pots, which often lead to signal problems when it's the xover pots.
Turn everything off and twist ALL the pots back and forth many times and see if that improves anything.

are you running separate sets of RCAs for the front and rear channels? If so, the amp should be set to "R" on the input select. Also, if the HU has x-over, i would definitely bypass the x-overs on the amp.
i actually had that crackling issue when i first got my 600.4 years ago. i sent it into PG for repair and the pots were replaced as well as the ribbon cable. it's been running great ever since.

I call Pots as well, I had the Ta300.2 and when I first installed it only one channel worked. After adjusting the pot several times back and forth all was well.

so I seen the amp last night
when its cold in the morning it seem to have more problem(noise from moving the pots) than in the afternoon when its warm up it great. Last night i turned all the pots up and down many times no noise ect everything work fine but the amp rear left channel still is not working
I found a small stran of + speaker wire sometimes touching the neg on the front other channel so i think that why it was doing what it was doing.
Before I open the amp up
what things should i try as there is no sound out of the rear left speaker
I thought maybe the rca on the left has came lose as the amp runs fine doesn't get hot just runns 100% like new but no output on that side
anyone that know these amp please add a pic what to look at or look for when trying to trouble shoot this
thanks

Swap the RCAs front to back, check for stray wires, make sure the speakers arent shorted out... you already know what to do

Bad config switches or ribbon cable.
